Know what cloud saves do—and what they may not
Online save synchronization can be convenient, but availability and conflicts depend on the game and platform.

A cloud-save feature stores or synchronizes game data through an account service, which can help when using another supported device. Not every game, platform, subscription tier or region behaves the same way. Read the specific service's current documentation and the game's page before assuming progress will follow you to another console or PC.
Avoid sync surprises
When a device asks which save to keep, stop and read the prompt rather than clicking quickly. A newer local save and a cloud copy may differ, and the right choice depends on your recent play. Keep the device online as instructed and avoid closing the game during a sync process. Platform steps and conflict messages can change with updates.
Treat cloud storage as one layer
Cloud saves are not a universal backup guarantee, and they may not include screenshots, settings or every form of game data. Check the platform's account and save-management guidance for what is synchronized. If progress matters, confirm it appears on the intended account before deleting a local copy or changing devices.
