Be cautious with surprise messages

A message promising free currency, rare items, tournament entry or account recovery may be an attempt to steal credentials. Be wary of urgency, unfamiliar links and requests to move a conversation off-platform. Real support processes should be checked through the official website or app, not through a link supplied by a stranger.

Protect codes and trade details

Never give a one-time sign-in code, password or recovery code to another player. Check the official platform's rules before trading items or approving a transaction, and confirm the recipient and terms on the actual service. Offers that sound too good to be true may put an account or payment method at risk.

Respond through official channels

If you clicked a suspicious link, change the password from the genuine platform and secure the recovery email account. Use the platform's official reporting and account-recovery tools, and tell a trusted adult if a child is involved. Procedures differ between services and may change, so consult current platform security documentation rather than a stranger's instructions.
