Use Steam accessibility information before you buy
Steam's accessibility information and a game's own description can help you check whether key features are present.

Steam publishes accessibility information and lets developers describe features on individual store pages. Use the listing to look for the specific support you need—such as subtitles, remappable input or color options—rather than treating an overall label as a guarantee. The available information depends on what the developer has provided and may not cover every mode or update.
Check the title itself
Search the game's official site, support page or community announcement for details about controls and accessibility. If an important feature is unclear, ask the publisher before purchasing where possible. A feature can differ between PC and console versions, or may work only with certain controllers. Requirements and software updates also affect compatibility, so review the current store page.
Test within the return rules
Once installed, open settings before starting a long campaign and test the options in a safe environment. Platform refund policies and eligibility rules change, so check Steam's current policy rather than assuming an evaluation period. Steam's accessibility FAQ explains its platform information; it does not certify every game or replace a developer's current compatibility details.
