Check whether the issue belongs there

CPGRAMS accepts grievances related to public authorities under its current scope, but it is not a general route for every private dispute or emergency. Check the portal's guidance and exclusions before filing. If a matter belongs to a state or local service, confirm the correct department and available grievance channel.

Write a concise, evidence-based account

State the department or service involved, the action requested, what happened and when, and what steps you already took. Attach only relevant documents and remove information that is not necessary to explain the grievance. Keep the language factual and respectful; a clear request is easier to route than a long account with several unrelated complaints.

Save the registration and track status

Use the official portal to submit and retain the registration number, acknowledgement and copies of attachments. Track progress and respond to requests for clarification through the same official service. CPGRAMS states that ministries and departments handle grievances through their designated processes; an online filing does not guarantee a particular resolution or replace appeal rights under other laws.
